CLEANING your oven doesn't come easy. In fact, it's a household chore many of us put off until it's absolutely necessary. But it turns out there's a cheap and easy way to get your oven sparkling clean, and it doesn't even involve tough scrubbing.
Instagram mum and cleaning influencer Abi revealed a super quick and easy way to clean your oven using a simple household item most people already have.
What is this magical product you ask? Fabric softener. Yep, that's right, fabric softener seems to do the trick.
Posting on her Instagram page Abi's Cleaning Space, the cleaning obsessed mum showed her 28.8k followers how to get squeaky clean oven racks using just fabric softener and water.
Simply fill up your sink with hot water, add a few drops of softener and place the wire racks in the sink, or bath, to soak.
The result? the dirt and grim should rub off super easily to reveal shiny new racks.
Abi shared before and after pictures on her Instagram story, demonstrating the trick in action.
She captioned the image: “Soaking the racks in hot water and fabric softener in the bath to release all the grime stuck to the racks.”
In the before photo, you could clearly see the grime build up and blackened wires.
And the after? well, cleaning lovers will feel extremely satisfied with the result.
While she didn't specify which fabric softener to use, it seems any will do the trick.
